Community members can unsubscribe via the personal page or the unsubscribe link in the emails they receive from Survey studies.
Anonymising profile data upon deregistration
Once a member deregisters, their profile data is automatically anonymised to ensure privacy. In the Community, this means:
- The content of profile variables is replaced with -99.
- The email address is overwritten with a unique GUID, followed by the domain @unsubscribed.invalid.
The following data remains unchanged:
- ID
- Reason for deregistration
- Deregistration date
- Polls participated in
- Registration date
- Last login date
- Surveys invited
- Surveys participated
- Participation %
- Balance rewards
In addition, information in Survey remains intact.
Manually deregistering or deleting community members
- In Community, go to 'Profiles' and 'Overview' in the menu.
- Optional: select a filter.
- Select the members you wish to include. To select all users in the filter or the entire community, check the box next to 'Name'.
- Single user: click on the Recycle Bin icon to delete the community member and all associated data. Click the Exit icon to unsubscribe the community member. The associated data (such as completed Survey Surveys) will then be retained.
- Multiple community members: click 'Remove' to remove the community members and all associated data or click 'Unsubscribe' to unsubscribe the community members. Associated data (such as completed Survey Surveys) will be retained in the latter case.
- Confirm that you want to unsubscribe or delete the community members.
Note: when deleting, all data of the Community member will also be deleted, like;
- Comments
- Poll Results
- Profile variable data
- Statistics (number of members)
The content of a topic created by the deleted member is still is displayed. The community member's name is anonymised.
