With Crowdtech Insights, you can create questionnaires that comply with the WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines. Read more about WCAG. The community website you create with Crowdtech Dialogue can comply with the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines. There are a number of points of attention that improve digital accessibility. You can read these below.
Media
You can improve the digital accessibility of media by:
Adding descriptive alt texts to images
Providing transcripts for audio clips
Including audio descriptions for videos without sound
Adding both subtitles and transcripts to videos with sound
Layout settings
You can choose fonts, colors, and sizes yourself. Always ensure sufficient contrast between text and background.
Content
Keep the following in mind for content:
Use B1-level language so that the content is understandable to a wide audience
Avoid vague or ambiguous terms
Provide context in links (e.g., not “click here” but “read more about...”)
Use active sentences (“You can choose” instead of “It can be chosen”)
Clarify complex terms with examples
Use terms and concepts consistently
Background images and colors
Backgrounds should not hinder text readability. Due to the responsive layout and the ability to adjust text sizes, it's not always predictable where text will appear.
Do not use text as part of background images; background images are purely decorative
-
Optimize images to prevent slow page loading. For example, consider image size. A recommendation for 300x300 px images is:
Maximum: 200–300 kB
Ideal: 100–150 kB
Absolute maximum (in exceptional cases): 500 kB
